Bushehr N-plant celebration begins Tehran, 2007/04/09, IRIB Thousands of Iranians began nuclear celebrations near Bushehr atomic power plant south of Iran Monday.
Persian Gulf University students issued a statement and supported IRI's peaceful nuclear activities.
Children flew kites to show their happiness for their bright future. A great human chain was also formed around Bushehr Atomic Powerplant. Hundreds of students from Mashhad northeast Iran gathered in front of the United Nations representative office in the city to condemn the UN Security Council's anti-Iran resolution and underline the nation's right to produce nuclear energy.
The rally was held jointly by various Basiji student groups from the city's Ferdowsi and Azad Universities.
The ralliers, estimated to be more than 1000 and holding placards, chanted various slogans calling on government for continued pursuance of Iran's nuclear right. Nuclear-Iran-Rallies |
