Rafsanjani: Iranian engineers prove their ability

Chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani in a message to the first biennial festival of Iran's elite civil engineers said the Iranian engineers have proven their potentials in different fields, especially in construction projects.

In the message, which was read in the venue of "Conference Center of Milad Tower" on Wednesday afternoon, Rafsanjani said, "After getting rid of all kinds of plots in the first decade of revolution, the nation has deeply embarked on independence and construction.

In another part of the message, the ayatollah underlined the role of young Iranian engineers in designing, building and executing of steel structures, dams, power plants, etc.

The EC chairman pointed out, "Iran by enjoying developed academic centers, material production, creating infrastructures in all needed fields has achieved technology."

In the festival, mass housing constructors, producers of construction materials, researchers and professors in related fields were honored and awarded prizes.
