Mehmanparast stresses Iran's unquestionable rights
2010/06/15 IRIB
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast, said in Tehran on Tuesday that the Iranian nation is determined to safeguard its principle rights to make use of peaceful nuclear energy and will not allow anyone to put impediments in the way.
According to IRIB, addressing domestic and foreign reporters, he dismissed the recent anti-Iran resolution passed by the UN Security Council as a big blunder, stressing that in the face of political pressures the Iranian people are more determined today to achieve their inalienable rights.
Iran's peaceful nuclear activities are within framework of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, said the spokesman, and referring to the issue of fuel swap and the positive atmosphere created by the Tehran Declaration, signed by Iran, Brazil and Turkey on May 17, he added that it started a new trend in the world equations.
He said independent world countries have set in motion a new order on the international scene, a system that is based on justice and respect for the rights of all countries.
On the dispatch of humanitarian aid to Gaza by the Islamic Republic, the spokesman said different countries are determined to send their aid convoys to the region on a larger scale after the recent inhuman act by the Zionist regime on the Freedom Flotilla.
He then stated that the Islamic Republic has announced readiness to send convoys carrying humanitarian aid packages to help the people under siege in Gaza.
And finally, asked about the contradictory remarks by the Russian officials and Iran's position toward Moscow, Mehmanparast said the Iranian nation expects all countries to ponder on mutual matters of interest in the long run.
