Peaceful nuclear technology is Iran's legitimate and inalienable right
By Ebrahimi Tehran, 2008 July 1, IRIB Members of the Iranian Parliament issued a statement today addressed Germany and the 5 self-imposed permanent members of the UN Security Council (the US, Britain, France, Russia, and China), making it clear that peaceful nuclear technology is Iran's legitimate and inalienable right, and any unwise move by this group will have no effect.
It read: The steadfastness of the Iranian nation is the key factor in its achievements in the peaceful nuclear field, which is a national resolve."
The statement noted that despite all sanctions and pressures, young Iranian scientists have been able to make achievements in this field.
The Majlis warned that the US and certain European regimes are violating Iran's legitimate and inalienable right without any legal, international reason, in pursuit of their vested interests.
"All nations are aware that nuclear technology is used in many fields, namely medicine, agriculture, geology, etc. and this right cannot be taken away from any nation," the statement of the Iranian parliament said.
