Commitment to high human values can expand range of cultural interchanges: Foreign Minister
Tehran, 2008 Aug 13, IQNA Iranian foreign minister said that commitment to high human values can expand the range of cultural interchanges.
Speaking at the annual gathering of Iranian cultural attaché in foreign countries on Tuesday August 12, Foreign minister Manoochehr Mottaki said that foreign policy is a system of connected relations in various cultural, political and economic arenas.
"Cultural representative of Islamic republic of Iran in a foreign country should be able to convey the message of the Islamic Revolution," added Mottaki.
"In the past 30 years, being through difficult situations, we've had valuable experiences, and we need to reflect on the past experiences very carefully," Mottaki said.
Mottaki further said that the commitment to high human and moral values can expand the range of cultural interchanges, adding, "there are two major obstacles in the way of promoting foreign policy; the first one is lack of flexibility toward the incumbent cultural atmosphere of the world, and the second is not being familiar with the nuances and delicacies of the political issues."
"In the area of relations with the Arab World, our policy is based on more proximity and closeness. We are pursuing a scheme based on a stable policy to eradicate religious, political and historical sectarianism and conspiracies," foreign minister concluded.
