Nations open to criticisms are most lively
Tehran, 2007/01/21, IRNA Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani here Sunday said that today, the most lively nations in the world are those which are open to criticisms and feel more responsible to human issues rather than being indifferent.
He made the remark at a conference of scientific and cultural intellectuals as well as those seeking to revive the spirit of `enjoining the good and prohibiting the evil'.
"The honor of criticism and a sense of responsibility for human problems is reserved for prophets. Besides, God Almighty has granted the motivation for lauding `enjoining the good and prohibiting the evil' to man," he added.
The event was held at the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Conference Center.
