Ayatollah Khamenei: IRI wants to wipe out imperialist order, establish justice, use science to provide welfare for humanity

In a meeting with Basiji students and professors, Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that the ideals and goals of the Islamic Republic are very comprehensive and that they are also accepted by fair and aware people.
"The Islamic Republic wants to wipe out the imperialist order, establish justice in the world, and use science to provide welfare for humanity," Ayatollah Khamenei said this morning.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that according to the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) no one should trample on the rights of other people, even those who have committed a sin or made a mistake. "One should be fair and should not say anything beyond what is true and appropriate."
His Eminence stressed that it is natural for people to be different in terms of the degree of their faith and their tendencies, further adding: "As far as social life is concerned, unity and solidarity should be preserved within the bounds of justice despite these differences."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the important point is that we should not lose sight of the main goals and standards. "Fighting the arrogant powers, determined resistance in the face of kufr and hypocrisy throughout the world, and clear specification of the boundaries with the enemies of religion and the Revolution are the main standards," he stated.
"Those who do not clearly specify the boundaries between themselves and the enemies of religion and the Revolution will only lose respect. And if someone develops a tendency towards the enemies, they will be outside the framework of the Islamic Republic."
He reiterated: "These standards are the main principles of the progressive movement of the Islamic Revolution. And this movement should be continued while preserving these standards."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the current situation of the world and the efforts of the arrogant powers against the Islamic Republic, further adding: "The current situation is sensitive because the centers of global arrogance have lost their control over global affairs in their efforts against the Islamic movement, which is personified by the Islamic Republic of Iran. And they are desperately making their last efforts."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the arrogant powers have reached a dead end and reiterated: "Many of their old propaganda techniques have been revealed to the people of the world."
His Eminence touched on the increasing hatred towards America and the Zionist regime across the world and stressed: "Today even in America people are growing deeply furious with the presence of powerful Zionists lobbies. In spite of the strict restrictions imposed on them by the American regime, the signs of this fury are clear."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the emergence of the Islamic Revolution in Iran was the main cause of the current problems of the imperialist order. He added: "Their enmity towards the Islamic Republic is due to this reason, but the confused decisions to issue resolutions, the artificial exaggeration of the sanctions, and the half-baked military threats are all signs of the desperation of the arrogant powers against the great and dignified movement in the world of Islam."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that tolerating the difficulties will prepare the ground for making greater achievements and stated: "Making scientific endeavor, engaging in research and religious activities, promoting the spirit of jihad in all scientific activities, being present whenever they are needed, and promoting insight in academic centers - these are what universities need today."
His Eminence said that the formation of Basij Academics Organization 12 years ago was a great achievement for the Islamic Republic and stated: "Of course this does not mean that faithful and revolutionary professors are limited to this group. Rather, there are currently a large number of Basiji professors in universities across the country who are playing an significant and prominent role."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the formation of Basij was a unique movement in the Islamic Republic and added that Basij is a legacy left behind by the great Imam (r.a.). He further stated: "The formation of Basij took place at the beginning of the Revolution when Imam Khomeini (r.a.) trusted the people and called on them to be present on the stage. And such trust helped develop self-confidence among our people."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the culture and essence of Basij have led to great achievements for the Islamic Republic.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the activities of Basij go far beyond military purposes and added that Basij should not be considered as a military unit. He further added that Basij is a public organization and the members of Basij are present on all stages at all times.
Ayatollah Khamenei further referred to the position of academics, particularly faithful and revolutionary academics, in universities and said that having a timely, influential, and committed presence in universities and educating faithful and knowledgeable students are the duties of basiji professors.
His Eminence said that academic centers are expected to continue the country's scientific movement and help the Iranian nation achieve the scientific position it deserves.
His Eminence touched on a report published by a reliable international organization about the rate of Iran's scientific progress and production of knowledge in the country. He added: "In this report the rate of Iran's scientific progress has been estimated to be 11 times more than the average rate of scientific progress in the world. This shows that there is a progressive scientific movement in the country, but it is not right to be satisfied with this level of progress. Rather, we should make plans and try to reach the peak."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the presence of faithful scholars in the Islamic Republic is unparalleled in the world and added: "The demands of the Islamic Republic are the demands that are made on international levels. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect our country to reach the peak of scientific progress and educate scholarly people such as Shahid Chamran."
Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the Islamic Republic's views of man, government, women, morality, and knowledge. He also referred to the need for presenting these views on international fronts and reiterated: "It is necessary to make serious efforts and adopt a comprehensive outlook. And one should not refrain from presenting these demands on international fronts for fear of some sarcastic remarks."
