President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Mashhad, capital city of the eastern province of Khorasan Razavi, on Saturday afternoon.

Upon arrival, the president departed for the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH) to make a pilgrimage of the sacred site.

In his trip to Mashhad, the president is to participate in closing ceremony of the universities and higher education centers' professors forum here and deliver a speech.
