Zionists are the enemies of Muslims, human community: Mohtashamipour
Tehran, 2008 Aug 20, Qodsna
Secretary General of the International Conference for Supporting the Palestinian People, Hojatoleslam Ali Akbar Mohtashamipour said the international organizations were supporting Israeli occupation at the expense of the rights of the real owners of occupied territories.
Addressing an International Conference on al-Aqsa Mosque, the first Qibla of Muslims, Mohtashami said that the big powers are using their influence with international organizations to ignore the rights of the Palestinian people in a bid to help the Israeli regime, a fake entity, to survive.
He said that Iran advocates human rights of the Palestinian people and the belief that al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to the Muslims.
Mohtashamipour said that the Islamic Republic of Iran would never recognize the usurper regime of Israel and follows the strategy of supporting the Palestinian people to overcome hegemony of the United States and the Israeli regime.
He said that Israel had proved its hostility towards Iran. "Iran will not accept friendship with Israel unless the Israeli regime gives up Palestinian lands and puts an end to occupation."
Mohtashami regretted that the international organizations had formulated their action plan under the influence of the big powers which advocate the occupation of the Palestinian territories and ignore the basic rights of the people of Palestine.
He said that Israel attempted to set al-Aqsa Mosque on fire to destroy the Islamic identity of the first Qibla of Muslims and judaize the Islamic sanctity, but to no avail.
“Zionists are not only the enemies of the Muslims but also the enemies of the human community, and Iran will never recognize the Zionist regime of Israel,” Mohtashamipour said.
In recent controversial comments Vice President Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei had said that Iranian people are 'friend' with all nations including the “Israeli people”.
He has called remarks by Mashaei about Iranian nation's friendship with Israeli people 'astonishing'.
Last Thursday, Rahim-Mashaei said that his comments were only aimed at showing that Iran's friendship message to the people of the world is very 'inclusive'.
"This word (Israel) is reminder of racism, inhumanity and violence and I also believe that there will be no place for this word in Iran's culture," Rahim-Mashaei said.
Mohtashamipour also said some world powers used their influence to approve legislations at “oppressive international organizations” that paved the ground for the creation of the Israel regime on the Palestinian lands.
