Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said today that the recent actions of the British, American and Zionist spying networks against Muslims, is indication of the Global Arrogance's fears of solidarity among world Muslims and emergence of a united Islamic ummah.
Addressing foreign and Iranian guests for the 4th Ahl al-Bayt General Assembly in Tehran today, he referred to the old trick of Global Arrogance to sow seeds of discord among various schools of Islamic jurisprudence, saying: In addition to Britain, with its long dark record in this regard, today US spying agencies along with the Zionists, are feverishly trying to split Muslim ranks. He went on to say: Another matter of concern for Global Arrogance is the spread of the Islamic concepts of jihad - or striving sincerely in the way of God - independence, self-dignity and revival of Islamic identity through resistance against the domineering powers as is evident in Iran and all over of the Islamic world.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that in view of these facts, Global Arrogance is feverishly trying to create a gap between Iran and other Islamic countries.
He took note of Islamic Iran's spectacular progress in the scientific, technological, political and administrative fields over the past 20 years, and said: in contrast to our growing awareness and progress, the US and its allies have considerably weakened over the said period.
The Leader said the US and its accomplices have been trapped into whirlpools and going deeper into the quagmire as time passes.
He was confident that according to the divine principle governing the outcome of the struggle between good and the evil, the Great Satan, that is, the US is doomed to fail and suffer defeat as ever before.
The 4th Ahl al-Bayt General Assembly started its work in Tehran on Saturday with the speech of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Religious and political figures from 110 countries are attending the gathering.
The Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly, established in 1990 aimed at promoting Islamic teachings and cultures, is a non-profit and non-governmental organization based in the Iranian capital, Tehran. |
