Jalili, Solana talks about Iran nuclear case over phone
Tehran, 2008 Aug 4, IRNA Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili and EU foreign policy chief, Javier Solana discussed Iran's peaceful nuclear program over phone Monday afternoon.
During the phone conversation, the two sides called for continuation of Geneva talks regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.
According to the Public Relations Department of SNSC, the two sides underlined that continuation of the Geneva talks requires a positive and constructive atmosphere.
They agreed to continue negotiations and exchange views in the future.
During Geneva talks, the two sides agreed to hold the next round of talks after two weeks but the western media tried to describe it as a deadline.
Tehran has dismissed the deadline issue stressing that the two sides agreed to continue their talks after studying the two nonpapers exchanged by Jalili and Solana during the meeting.
