Rafsanjani warns US against any mischief
Tehran, 2008 Jan 18, IRIB Intrim Friday prayers leader of Tehran Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Friday warned the American officials against any mischief in the G5+1 meeting.
"I warn the American officials not to be after any mischief in the meeting of the Group 5+1 and to think on final settlement of Iran's nuclear case," Ayatollah Rafsanjani told large groups of Tehrani Friday prayers worshipers at Tehran University campus.
The Guardian Council Chairman said dialogue, understanding and confidence building are the key to Iran's nuclear issue. Touching on the Iran-IAEA's "progressive" relations, he hoped that the IAEA would not change its course under western aggressive powers' pressure and continue its current path so that realities regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear activities come into light.
"If a day comes when everything regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear activities are revealed transparently, no excuse will be left then," he added.
He said that if anything is to be said, that should be through the IAEA and the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue cooperation with the international institution until when all realities regarding its peaceful nuclear activities become clear.
