
Ahmadinejad: Government, Majlis true defenders of Islamic principles
Tehran, 2008 Aug 5, IRNA President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that the Iranian Majlis and the government are to defend the principles of the Islamic Revolution.
The president made the remarks in Majlis on Tuesday prior to the vote of confidence for his three proposed ministers.
He welcomed the views of Majlis representatives in today's debate and said, "I would like to declare to the world public that the Iranian Majlis and its government truly defend the values and principles of the Islamic Revolution and are accountable in dealing with the country's administration."
The Iranian government has put up with all foreign propaganda campaign and will continue the right path, he said.
The president also defended the records of his proposed ministers and hoped to witness the success and prosperity of the Islamic Revolution.
Majlis gave a vote of confidence to three ministers proposed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Tuesday afternoon.
Shamseddin Hosseini became Economy and Finance Minister , Ali Kordan became Interior Minister , and Hamid Behbahani became Roads and Transport Minister.
