Secretary General of Iran's influential Islamic Coalition Party called on the government on Tuesday to sever ties with countries whose media have profaned Islamic sanctities.
According to public relation office of the Islamic Coalition Party, Mohammad Nabi Habibi, secretary general of the party, speaking at the closing session of the party's convention stated that it is necessary for OIC to launch preemptive and preventive measures and take action against such sinister moves by countries such as Denmark , Holland and Germany whose media off and on insult sanctities of Islam under the pretext of freedom of expression.
"Unfortunately, launching insults at the shining character of great prophet of Islam is turning to a trend and Muslims around world shouldn't remain silent at the face of such malicious conducts," he added.
Habibi also referred to supreme leader's recent remarks about the atrocities of Zionist regime in Gaza, and urged Muslims to respond to the call of the oppressed Palestinians and make it heard around the world.
"Zionists, backed by their sworn allies, have staged an all-out war in Gaza Strip, displaying massive human rights violations. In fact, there is a real holocaust going on in Gaza Strip and the world community has kept silent on these atrocities ."
