"Elections belong to all people and is manifestation of their will," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday.
After casting his vote in Lorzadeh mosque in southern Tehran, the President termed the nation's participation in political scene as the main factor for enemies' defeat.
"Iranians' belief and feelings as well as their splendid participation in the elections indicate that they are able to handle their country's affairs," he added.
President Ahmadinejad cast his vote upon arrival from Dakar, Senegal, where he attended the 11th Summit of Organization of the Islamic Conference.
He arrived at the polling station while he was accompanied by First Vice-President Parviz Davoudi.

The by-election for the Leadership Assembly of Experts in the constituencies of Tehran, Qazvin, Ilam and East Azarbaijan provinces are held concurrently today.
