Rafsanjani: All political parties should take part in election campaign

Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said here Monday that elections campaign, involving all the political parties faithful to the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic system of government, is of great importance.

Rafsanjani told members of the Central Council of the Reformist Fundamentalists Front that the elections campaign should be conducted in a way to encourage high public turnout and election of competent candidates.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rafsanjani pointed to enemies' failed policy of separating masses from clergies.

He said clergies are sensitive to social issues and serve as an important obstacle on the way of enemies' plots.
