
Tehran, 2007 Oct 24, IRIB Senior Iranian and European officials Tuesday described the new round of talks on Iran's peaceful nuclear program as constrcutive and successful.
EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana called the meeting constrcutive and progressive after meeting with Saeed Jalili, the new IRI Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) and Ali Larijani, the aide to the Islamic Revolution Leader in the council.
"The second round of negotiations will be held at the end of November," he added.
Saeed Jalili for his part reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran's policy has been shaped based on cooperation and negotiation.
"The issue which is described as the point of difference can otherwis turn into a matter of cooperation," Jalili said.
"I will follow in the steps of Mr. Larijani," he added.
Ali Larijani who was present at the press meeting, in response to a question about his resignation said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is a democratic country. Moreover it has generation of forces."
The Islamic Revolution Leader's Advisor in SNSC also supported the stance of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the nuclear issue.
