
Nozari: Iran sets oil pumping record
Tehran, 2008 Feb 6, IRNA Iran on February 5 set an oil production record during the post-revolution era by pumping 4.184 million barrels crude oil, Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet session, the minister said Iran is expected to produce 4.200 million barrels per day by the end of the current Iranian year (March 19).
Nozari added that some 25,000 barrels per day crude oil is currently being pumped from Azadegan oil field in southern Iran.
