Ayatollah Taskhiri lambastes British approach towards Muslims

Secretary General of the World Assembly for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Taskhiri on Tuesday criticized the British government for its policy on Iran and the Muslim world.

In a meeting with several British Muslim activists, he said that Iran is interested in expansion of Tehran-London ties based on mutual respect.

Ayatollah Taskhiri condemned British negative approach toward Iran's nuclear program which is under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

He further urged the British government to help repatriate Iran's smuggled antiques.
