Islamabad, 2008 Mar 25, IRIB

Pakistan's new Prime Minister was sworn in by President Pervez Musharraf Tuesday.

Yousuf Raza Gilani, a top aide of slain opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, was elected as premier on Monday by Parliament.

Supporters chanted "long live Bhutto" after Gilani finished repeating the oath read out by Musharraf in a ceremony at the presidential palace.

Musharraf told state television after the ceremony that he would "always extend my fullest cooperation" to Gilani.
