Muslim women conveneved in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to discuss ways to revive the lost Islamic identity, IRIB reported Saturday.
The conference titled "In Search of Self" was held Friday evening by the association of Pioneering Muslim Women in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to discuss ways of strenghtening family structure, preventing family disintegration and raising up kids based on Islamic teachings.
Deputy head of Muslims religious office and the head of Kyrgyzstan's University of Islamic Sciences referred to a 67% divorce rate in the country and called for resistance against the Western culture which has nowadays become a lifestyle model for many of the youth.
Theoreticians in thye conference presented the Islamic teaching as the best model for the salvation of humanity.
Ms. Jamal Faranet Beik Ghazzeh - the head of Kazakstan Muslim Women Association - told IRIB reporter that the conference is aimed at reviving the lost identity of Muslim women.
