Tehran's interim Friday prayers leader, Seyyed Ahmad Khatami, warned the Europeans not to fall in the trap of the US again, as they did when they blindly supported Washington in the Persian Gulf War and the Zionist regime's aggression on Lebanon. He advised the Europeans not to make the same mistake in dealing with Iran's nuclear issue.
Addressing worshippers at Tehran University Campus on Friday, Ahmad Khatami said the imposition of sanctions against Tehran is not something new for the Iranian nation, adding: "The Europeans are greater than to be a surrogate or puppet of the US. Those who impose sanctions on Iran are the real losers."
In other remarks, Ahmad Khatami said pride and dignity would return back to Iraq as soon as the occupiers withdraw from that country, adding: "The US attempts to weaken the Iraqi government by sponsoring terrorists and sowing discord among different religious and ethnic groups in Iraq."
Commenting on Lebanon, Ahmad Khatami said: "The US and Britain both have a hand in the ongoing conspiracies in Lebanon. They provoke their pawns in Lebanon to try and disarm Lebanon's Hezbollah, but Hezbollah would certainly foil such conspiracies, as it defeated the Zionist regime's month-long aggression on Lebanon."
