Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati on Friday lauded Hizbollah's great role in recent victory of Lebanon over the Zionist regime of Israel.

"The performance of Lebanese Hizbollah showed that policy of resistance is victorious but policy of compromise is not," said Jannati in an address to large groups of worshipers at Tehran University campus.

He said small group of Hizbollah with the least facilities at hand but with strong faith in heart managed to stand a powerful enemy and gain victory.

He added that the event smashed the false tale of Israel's invincibility.

The cleric called on all Muslims to forward assistance to the Lebanese people and contribute to reconstruction of their land by Hizbollah.
