Arabs slam Nissan company insult
Tokyo, 2008 Aug 9, IRIB Nissan Auto Company urged its Israeli partner to stop broadcasting a TV commercial in which wealthy Arabs are shown to get angry with Nissan cars because they consume less fuel, Japan Times wrote.
Nissan Co. spokesman announced the disputed commercial was made by a local branch of the company and has nothing to do with the company's policies and does not reflect the company's attitudes.
MBC Television network aired a footage in which a Saudi authority said, unless the Nissan Company apologized for the insulting commercial, the Persian Gulf Arab states would ban the company's products.
