Three farmers and a girl were killed after they were struck by lightning in India's Jharkhand state.
The four victims from Giridih district, about 210 km from Ranchi, the state capital, were working in a field, sowing paddy crops on Saturday afternoon when the tragedy occurred, IANS reported quoting official sources.
Lightning has claimed at least 35 lives in the state this year.
In Europe, lightning has killed a woman and her daughter near the central town of Zenica, Bosnia during a violent storm that left five others injured, police said Saturday.
The woman's husband and son were injured.
Another women and two girls were injured by a falling tree near the central town of Jajce. Two of them suffered serious head injuries and were taken to hospital.
The storm caused significant damage across Bosnia, levelling trees and damaging vehicles and roofs. Some villages were also without electricity.
