One policeman was killed and 17 people were injured in two separate militancy-related incidents in Indian-held Jammu and Kashmir Thursday.
A policeman was killed by militants while he was on his way to work in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir this morning.
The militants intercepted the private vehicle of the policeman in South Kashmir district, dragged him out and pumped bullets into his body.
In another incident, at least 17 people were injured, five of them seriously, in a grenade blast carried out by militants at a crowded bus stand in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir today.
A search has been launched in the area to nab the militants responsible for the grenade attack.
No militant group has so far claimed responsibility for the incidents.
