Nasrallah: "Resistance ready to confront any crazy adventure."
By Hanan Awarekeh Beirut, 2008 Jan 7, Al-Manar
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed on Monday that he "would not give up the principle of true partnership within the framework of a national unity government." Sayyed Nasrallah made the remark to a delegation from the Gathering of Muslim Ulema. A statement issued by the gathering after the meeting said that his eminence stressed that he "would not give up the principle of true partnership within the framework of a national unity government, through which the country would be run, and national dialogue would be held to provide answers to all concerns … expressed by the various sides to the Lebanese arena." Hezbollah Secretary General, the statement added, said he was "keen on inter-Muslim unity and he will always seek to abort attempts to kindle inter-Muslim violence, which he believes that the United States and Israel are trying to start."
"The American agenda has started collapsing throughout the Muslim world … and would not manage to prevail over the Lebanese arena," the statement quoted Sayyed Nasrallah as saying. He also noted that Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance is "ready to confront any crazy adventure carried out by the Zionist enemy that, God Willing, would face a stronger defeat than the one encountered during the July (2006) aggression, because the resistance is now stronger," he added.
