
Hamas urges Abbas to join people
Gaza, 2008 Feb 20, IRIB The spokesman of Hamas, Sami abu-Zahri, said Wednesday that the recent negotiations between the Zionist Regime and the Palestinian Authority are futile.
Sami abu-Zahri, in an interview with Al-Alam TV Network, said that it is only the Zionist Regime who benefits from these talks and they are fruitless for the Palestinians.
He added that the Zionist Regime is solely using the talks as a cover for its atrocities against the Palestinians.
He also slammed Mahmoud Abbas for his recent activities in inciting the Plestinians and the international minds to support the suppression of the resistance in the West Bank and Gaza Stip.
He said such activities were sign of the Palestinian Authority's incompetence in holding talks with Olmert.
Sami abu-Zahri also said that any Hamas withdrawal from its position is out of question as long as the Zionist Regime insists on developement of its settlements and excavations in Beit ul-Moqaddas.
He said the Zionist Regime would never give any credit to the Palestinians in those talks.
Hamas spokeman emphasized on national unity and urged Abu Mazen to join ranks of people as the only way to put pressure on the Zionist Regime.
