
Jeddah forum to discuss tourism in Muslim states

The First Forum of Tourism in Islamic Countries organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in cooperation with the Supreme Commission for Tourism and the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry kicked off tonight at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel.
The objectives of the three-day forum include adopting effective and strong strategies for the promotion and marketing of tourism among OIC countries, adopting a mechanism to improve infrastructure and facilitating the issuance of tourist visas among the Islamic countries.
The subjects of discussion will cover the position of tourism in Islamic countries and areas of development, tourism investment in Muslim countries, rules and regulations in Saudi Arabia for organizing the Haj and Umrah pilgrimages, and examples of successful tourism programs in some Muslim countries.
