Lebanon's most senior religious authority, Allama Seyyed Mohammad Hussein Fadhlollah, said the US and the illegal Zionist entity were pursuing sinister goals under pretext of holding a so-called international Middle East peace conference.

He said in Beirut today, that the US under guise of bringing peace and security to the Middle East, is actually creating instability and insecurity in the region.

The Allama added that the policy of White House officials in the region and the world is indicative of the Bush regime's plot to fuel new wars and never meant to bring tranquility and peace to the Middle East.

He deplored the Zionist entity's designation of the Gaza Strip as a hostile territory, saying the plot of the usurper state of Israel is to have the license to target innocent people and civilians in Gaza.

Seyyed Fadhlollah also voiced concern over the US regime's giving of green light to the illegal Zionist entity to invade and destroy Gaza in the wake of the unjust economic embargo.
