The Zionist regime's Premier Ehud Olmert has once again emphasized on continued assassination of Hamas Movement and anti-Zionist resistance movements officials and leaders. Olmert levels such threats against Palestinian resistance leaders, while he is scheduled to meet and confer with Head of Palestine self-rule Authority Mahmoud Abbas, today.

Olmert's emphasis on assassination of Palestinian leaders is a measure that the Zionist regime's premier and ministers have resorted to at this juncture in time. During the recent weeks, the order of assassination of Lebanese and Palestinian leaders has been issued by a number of Zionist regime's Cabinet members.

The report released by Winograd Investigation Committee cautiously refused to reveal numerous facts about the 33-Day Lebanon War, and the Zionist regime army and political leaders' inability. However, it still mounted Israel's internal tensions. Hence, the Zionist regime is once again trying in vain to divert the attention of Zionist entity's public opinion, thereby putting a lid on its inability in confrontation with Lebanese and Palestinian resistance movements.

The Zionist regime's policy in besieging Gaza and suppressing Palestinian people has remained futile within the recent year. Therefore, Gaza is continuously pounded by the Zionist regime from ground, air and sea, while the Zionist regime officials explicitly talk of assassination of Palestinian leaders.

Undoubtedly, these atrocities are committed to force Palestinian people into turning their backs on the Palestinian resistance movements. Gazans have been facing hunger, poverty and illnesses and have been targeted by the Zionist regime's bombs and missiles but they still strongly support Hamas Resistance Movement. Hence, Zionist regime's officials have resorted to terrorist operations and physical elimination of Palestinian leaders as the only option remaining in their confrontation with the democratically-elected Palestinian government and the resistance movement. The usurper Zionist regime has expanded for 60 years with the assassination and massacre of Palestinians and occupation of Palestinian territories.

Meanwhile, the Zionist regime's 60-year experience has shown carnage of Palestinians has not led to desirable results for the Zionist entity. Under these circumstances, Olmert's insistence on conducting terrorist operations in the occupied lands clearly shows the true nature of an illegal regime, which vividly talks about conducting heinous crimes, while being fully supported by the US and Europe.
