5 US soldiers killed in Iraq; toll nearing 4,000
Baghdad, 2007 Nov 6, Al-Manar Five US occupation soldiers have been killed in two roadside bomb attacks in Iraq this week, a US military spokesman said on Tuesday.
"We lost five soldiers yesterday (Monday) in two unfortunate incidents. Both involving IEDs (improvised explosive devices). There is still much danger out there... we have a lot of work to do," the military spokesman told reporters.
The US occupation military's overall losses in Iraq since the March US-led invasion in 2003 have now reached 3,855, according to a tally based on Pentagon figures. |
