
Al-Qods, 2007 Oct 24, Al-Manar An occupation Israeli soldier and a settler were wounded in a drive-by Palestinian shooting near a large Zionist settlement deep inside the occupied West Bank on Wednesday.
A Zionist army spokesman said the soldier was shot and seriously wounded at a bus stop outside the settlement of Ariel by a Palestinian resistance fighter leaning out of a car who made a rapid getaway.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade Fatah movement, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Ariel is one of the largest Zionist settlements in the West Bank, which Israel has occupied since the 1967 Middle East war.
