
Assad, Ahmadinejad urge cessation of Zionists' crimes
Tehran, 2008 Jan 22, IRNA Iranian and Syrian presidents on Monday condemned the recent Zionists' brutal crimes in Gaza Strip and called for holding the foreign ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Conference on Palestine.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad, in a telephone conversation, stressed that the people of Gaza are currently under the heaviest pressures.
The Islamic countries should, through cooperation, do their best to help cease the Zionists' crimes in the Gaza Strip, the two presidents reiterated.
