President Ahmadinejad in Makkah

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in the holy city of Makkah, west of Saudi Arabia, last night.

President Ahmadinejad and his accompanying delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday Dec 17 to perform annual Hajj rituals.

Upon his arrival in Makkah, the president was welcomed by head of Iranian Hajj pilgrims Hojatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi Reyshahri.

The Iranian president is in Saudi Arabia at the official invitation of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdelaziz.

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Majlis Vice-Speaker Mohammad-Hassan Abutorabi-Fard and president's senior advisor Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi are accompanying President Ahmadinejad in this spiritual visit.
