"If officials had denied the forged letter on time, it would have not prevent the recent riots in the Khuzestan province because people behind the incident had planned it before" the Islamic Republic of Iran's intelligence minister Ali Yunesi said Tehran Monday 25 April.
Attending a press conference, Ali Yunesi reiterated 'the officials discussed about the letter ten days before the riots and how to deny it but they were in doubt that the denial could have negative consequences, but riots had mounted after formal rejection by officials'.
Pointing to the role of foreign agents in the riot, he stressed that the anti-Revolution moves have been behind the event and that some agents on the backdrop have been arrested.
He explained that 'the letter is about something else but the designer of such a plan has manipulated some sentences of that through computer tricks unskillfully'.
Yunesi underlined that people of Khuzestan province are patriotic and loyal to the Islamic Republic and with their unity will neutralize the plots of enemies.
