"I am not indebted to Tony Blair.”
This emphasis is part of the remarks made by US President George W. Bush about Washington's closest political and military ally.
Bush in an interview with the British ITV channel said, "I do not consider myself indebted to Blair due to London's cooperation with Washington during the Iraq war.”
He added, "Britain must not expect Washington to agree with Britain's plans in fighting climate change, because London cooperated with the US in the war on Iraq.”
Blair tried during the G8 summit to encourage the US to accept the Kyoto Protocol. The issue of the earth’s environment was one of the most important issues discussed at the Scotland summit.
