Tehran's Interim Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani July 22 stressed on the importance of Friday Prayers and said,"It is a place for talking about virtue and faith."
The Ayatollah, who was speaking on the occasion of anniversary of holding the first Friday Prayers in Tehran 26 years ago, said, "The roots of Friday Prayers are virtue and remembering God that must be observed carefully".
He referred to the current situation in the world and said, "Islam is today encircled by enemies."
He went on to say,"Ooccupied Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq are clear examples of such situation in the Islamic world."
Ayatollah Kashani pointed out, "Even our country has been confronted by enemies' offensive and various threats for using its natural right to apply modern science".
Emami Kashani also advised parents to be so careful in educating the next generation.
