Kuwait's Public Warehouses Co. (PWC logistics) has been awarded a 180-million-dollar contract by the US Defense Logistics Agency, the latest in a series of deals with the Pentagon, the official Kuna News Agency said Saturday August 20.
Under the contract, which will run for up to five years, the company will receive 50 percent of any savings that the Pentagon agency makes as a result of its services, Kuna said citing a statement from the firm.
PWC logistics already sealed a 3.27-billion-dollar contract with the Pentagon in February to supply the US military in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar. The contract expires around the middle of December.
In June, the Pentagon awarded the company another deal worth between 1.4 billion dollars and 14 billion dollars to supply the US military in the Middle East for up to five years.
