
12th Dubai International Holy Quran Award to be held in Ramadhan
Dubai, 2008 Aug 22, IQNA Representatives from 86 countries have so far expressed readiness to take part in the 12th edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.
According to the United Arab Emirates news agency (WAM), organizers of the 12th edition of Dubai International Holy Quran Award announced that efforts are underway for issuing visas for the event's jury members and participants.
One of the organizers of the competition pointed to the budget allocated for the Quranic contest, describing it as one of the biggest budgets allotted to Quranic contests worldwide.
The organizing committee has sent special letters of invitations to 140 countries in different parts of the world.
The 12th edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award is to be held in the holy month of Ramadhan (beginning September 1) under the supervision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.
