Quran reciters in the Surah al-Hujurat Festival at Tehran University
Tehran, 2008 Mar 5, IQNA Surah al-Hujurat has moral and social message for Islamic nations, and the Almighty God revealed the surah to help Muslim societies to settle problems and differences, senior advisor to Tehran mayor said.
Addressing the closing ceremony of Surah al-Hujurat Festival at Tehran University, Mohammad-Hadi Moazzen added that the lofty surah serves mankind to resolve problems and implement Quranic tenets in all arenas of life.
Moazzen, who is also researcher on the holy Quran, further said that the enlightening religion of Islam presents its tenets for individuals and societies as personal virtue is insufficient, and that God's believers should practise social aspects of the holy Quran as well.
Pointing to Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli's emphasis on the need for publishing another Mafatih Al-Jinan (Keys of Paradise) for social aspects, he noted that the holy Quran calls on Muslims to be true believers in both individual and social arenas.
