Iran's Youth Quranic Interpretation Institute is to hold the First International Competition on Interpretation of the Quran for Muslim and non-Muslim teenagers.
Head of the Institute's Quranic studies department Mohammad Bistouni told IQNA that the competition will then be held every six months as long as there are at least 100 volunteers everywhere in the world to attend the event.
The Quranic studies department of the Institute for Youth Interpretation comprises 10 specialized non-governmental and private institutes, he noted.
Bistouni went on to say that winners of the competition, will receive various awards including Hajj pilgrimage.
The Youth Quranic Interpretation Institute has published a series of exegesis, consisting of 2,000 verses of the holy Quran, he said, adding that the verses have been chosen with the needs of young generation in mind.
The series includes 30 pocket books and guidance school and high school students can benefit from the series to learn 4,000 Quranic subjects.
